Event Overview:

The global tax landscape has changed tremendously in the past years. Tax has risen to the Board’s agenda and tax and tax-related risks are gaining attention and this attention is increasing and not decreasing.

Addressing tax risk goes well beyond the adherence with technical application of taxation laws by a central corporate function. It needs to be integrated into the grain of the business processes, so that accurate, complete and relevant data for tax needs is captured throughout the organization.
By virtue of the deep process knowledge obtained through their daily audits, Internal Auditors are often best placed to help identify gaps in the existing processes to address tax risks, as well as potential improvement areas to achieve cost savings.

Therefore it is imperative that Internal Auditors are aware of and keep pace with the latest tax developments so that the IA department can continue delivering value-adding audits.

In this talk, EY will outline the 15 actions in the BEPS project and how they have impacted businesses in general. EY will also highlight the latest Singapore income tax developments in response to BEPS project.
